Our surf club family came together in the evening of Saturday 15th August for our annual end of season Celebration Dinner.
Club members, valued sponsors and guests from other surf clubs tuned in to the Surf Life Saving Tasmania Awards of Excellence presentation, enjoyed dinner and drinks and were treated to live music from nipper mum Emily Burke.
The event was the first time that our club has been able to come together at the club since the onset of the COVID-19 emergency and it was wonderful to be back together as a family to reflect on the events and achievements of the 2019/20 season, and to welcome the 2020/21 season, which will include the opening of our new club facilities!
The gathered members excitedly supported four Port Sorell members who were nominated in the Surf Life Saving Tasmania Awards of Excellence. Our nominees were:

Thank you to the generous companies that provided prizes for our Celebration Dinner.
As always, Port Sorell SLSC was generously supported by a number of businesses from our local community.
It is this community support that enables the club to continue to thrive and expand to provide our surf lifesaving patrols and Nippers and other surf sport programs for our community.
We encourage our members and community to shop local and support our generous sponsors.
